Reading List of the Week – Resources to Support Units of Learning, Plymouth University

Reading list of the week

Our Reading List of the Week is Resources to Support Units of Learning from Plymouth University.

This list was created to help students with their research skills, rather than provide specific resources for a module. These kinds of lists can be especially useful for students in helping them develop their research skills to complement their studies, and providing an academic approved list means that they can access reliable and good quality items.

The way the list is structured is clear and organised, with sections to divide up items by theme. The list is also very well annotated by the academic, with notes on the sections, subsections, and items themselves.

The notes are especially useful here as they provide information on the course, as well as giving advice on how the students should approach the items and how they should be used with their studies. Notes on the items themselves help the students understand why the items are relevant and what sections are particularly useful, helping them to prioritise their reading tasks.

This list was created around a year ago and has had 33,257 views and 33,107 item clicks.

The most clicked item is a document and has had 1049 clicks since the list was created. The notes added by the academic stresses the importance of understanding key terms within the document.
