What would you give up first, food or technology?

We were recently sent the above photo from colleagues visiting Monash University ahead of Insight Asia-Pacific in Melbourne. The simple coin poll showed that the majority of voters (likely to be academics, students and University staff) chose the ‘no food’ option in favour of keeping technology. This reiterated to us how crucial technology is to the lives of academics, students and University staff and how important it is that our products are good enough to hypothetically fast for!

When the efficiency and quality of technology can directly affect the performance of our users, we know that getting it right is of utmost importance. That is why we are constantly striving to make our products the best they can be to ensure that we are helping rather than hindering success.

Whilst some users are ponder whether to forego food over technology, we at Talis are currently looking at improvements to the Talis Aspire user interface, because sometimes it’s possible to have your cake and eat it. Working with users, we’re identifying what matters most and dedicating time toward improving these key areas. So whether you’re a student browsing your course material on your mobile over a croissant in a coffee shop, or a culinary minded academic editing your lists while your soufflé rises, we’d prefer you to have the best of both worlds.

What would you choose? Food or technology? Let us know in the comments below or vote in our Twitter poll:
