As it unfolded at the Talis open day in London, last week

talis

The first out our Autumn open days was held in London Last week. Thanks to Alison and Malcolm from London South Bank University as well as Annushka from University of Portsmouth, who provided great insight from customer perspective. If you did not attend our open day, then here is the twitter activity from the day, storified!

I was attending an open day after a long time. This day reminded me once more that our open days are not just about learning about Talis and our products. Some of the discussions that punctuated the day were fascinating, and provided a lot of learning opportunities for me and I hope it was the same for others. Also, listening to the challenges of providing a digitisation service, and the subsequent success with Talis Aspire Digitised Content at LSBU and University of Portsmouth was really good. And Having CLA on the ground to provide an update and answer copyright related questions was also great thanks to Meghan and her team attending.

We will be making the slides from the day available shortly, so watch this space.

If you missed our open day in London, the next one is in Manchester on the 18th of November. We have Ian Snowley, Librarian at University of Lincoln, who has kindly agreed to speak at this event. You can read all about it on this post. We still have a few spaces left, so you can still sign up to attend.

For those who attended this or one of our previous open days, what are your thoughts? What did you like most about joining a Talis open day?
