Press Release: University of Central Lancashire is the latest university to transform its copyright clearance and digitisation service with Talis Aspire

Talis has announced that University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) has chosen the Talis Aspire digitised content module to contribute to its ‘Digital Shift’ strategy.

Jeremy Andrew, Library Director, said “At University of Central Lancashire we are constantly investigating ways of enhancing the student experience, streamlining our business processes as we implement the university strategic “Digital Shift” agenda. The Talis Aspire Digital Content module has been adopted to meet all of these goals and in addition ensures that we remain compliant with our legal obligations. It has enabled UCLan library staff to simplify and streamline the copyright clearance and digitisation process whilst enhancing the functionality of Talis Aspire Reading Lists for students. It has also helped to reduce the amount of staff time required to create a digital copy thus enabling the library to provide resources ‘just in time’ to meet the needs of the academic staff and students.”
