Delft University of Technology has adopted Talis Aspire in order to better support the student experience and drive efficiencies within the library. They will be making use of online reading list management along with Talis Aspire’s Management Information (MI) Dashboards, in order to gain better insight into list coverage and usage analytics.

Talis Aspire will provide easier access for students to course materials through resource lists, providing a better student experience. Academic staff will benefit from ease and efficiency of provisioning course materials, and the library will gain streamlined workflows and efficiencies around acquisitions and content purchasing.

Talis works with over 100 universities to integrate a diverse range of Library Management systems and Learning Management Systems. At Delft University of Technology, Talis Aspire will be integrated with their Library Management System, OCLC: WorldShare and with their Learning Management System, Brightspace by Desire2Learn.  Talis has a stong partnership with OCLC, and Talis Aspire is used by the vast majority of OCLC:Worldshare Library Management System university users in the UK.

The Talis team is working closely with the team at Delft University of Technology to get Talis Aspire in place over the coming weeks and to support the university as it rolls out the service to faculty and students.

“Talis Aspire is a very promising teaching and learning tool that can optimise and further professionalise work and study processes at the TU Delft. It supports lecturers, students and the TU Delft Library by easy and effective processing, managing and providing access to our high-quality educational materials. Therefore the TU Delft is eager to introduce Talis Aspire to the campus via a pilot project to gain more insight in the functionalities and the impact on our current and future education.” Michiel E. Munnik MSc., Sr. Project Manager,  ICT & Knowledge Management, TU Delft Library.

Alison Spencer, CEO at Talis said “We’re pleased to welcome Delft University of Technology to the Talis Aspire community. They’re our first university in the Netherlands and we look forward to working with them to ensure we meet any region-specific needs. The implementation process has already begun, and we’re excited to help them make the most of the inspiring community of librarians using Talis Aspire across the globe.”
