Scotland’s Rural College adopts Talis Aspire to support blended learning
Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) has adopted Talis Aspire in order to support blended learning. Their aim is to provide a great student experience and a more seamless way to provision and manage online resources.
They will be making use of online reading list management along with Talis Aspire Copyright Management. They will also be using enhanced analytics with Talis Aspire Management Information Dashboard (MI Dashboard) and Advanced Management Information System (Advanced MIS) in order to gain better insight into how their Talis Aspire service is being used and to feed into wider learner analytics projects across the university.
The Talis Consulting Team and the Talis Services Teams have implemented over 100 universities, making them familiar with integrating a diverse range of Library Management systems and Virtual Learning Environments. Scotland’s Rural College will be integrating Talis Aspire with Innovative: Sierra and Moodle in order to provide smoother workflows for staff and students.
Dr Pauline Hanesworth, Head of Learning and Teaching, and Elaine Muir, Head of Library Services said “We chose Talis Aspire because it enables us to integrate seamlessly many processes from the selection of texts to digitising chapters, to making content available at a single click via our VLE. This will improve the end-user experience as well as streamlining our acquisitions and collection management workflows.
Talis Aspire will enable us to analyse and ultimately provide resources that better fit our courses, and give easy and rapid access to content which is vital for the end-user, particularly in these days of blended learning.”
