Talis Elevate training with the Talis Services team

Emma Dodd

Talis Elevate adoption is growing, giving more students the opportunity to benefit from collaborative learning within their resources, whilst providing deeper level engagement analytics data to academics. This summer we welcomed our 14th university to the Talis Elevate community.

To support this, Talis Services team has designed and run practical online training sessions, with academics from different institutions adopting Talis Elevate.

Over the last couple of months, Talis invited academic colleagues from universities within the Talis Elevate community to attend the choice of two sessions, run by the Talis Services team. Each session included a one hour training session on Talis Elevate, which included:

  • An overview of Talis Elevate
  • How to add content to Talis Elevate
  • How to engage with students using Talis Elevate
  • Examples of best practices used by other institutions
  • Support available going forward to ensure success

Each session used video conferencing to record the session for future reference and there were some excellent and engaging questions asked both in the format of audio and via the chat facility in the live session. It was great to hear during the sessions and are already coming up with ways how this can transform their teaching.

To support the training, Talis have produced a student guide for Talis Elevate and a wide range of support articles on a Talis Elevate for Staff section of our support site, all materials are open access and do not require a login.

We are excited to have further training sessions planned in the coming months with other universities in our Talis Elevate community. The Services team at Talis are looking forward to supporting universities as the academics evolve their use of Talis Elevate.
