Ravensbourne University selects Talis Aspire to establish library workflows

Ravensbourne University have selected Talis Aspire to manage both reading lists and copyright management. Having been awarded university status earlier this year, Ravensbourne University were keen to establish clear library workflows from early on and improve engagement with academics across the university. In doing so, they aim to improve wider student experience through access to resources.
It is their first time using a tool to manage resource lists and copyright in the library, and we are looking forward to helping them shape workflows that work best for their team. Ravensbourne University is a practical focused university, with many digital resources required by students, so have selected Talis Aspire in order to streamline access to these resources.
Talis Aspire will be integrated with their Learning Management System, SirsiDynix’s Symphony, and with the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment as well as their new communication platform, Aula.
“For our first online reading list solution we were looking for a system that will allow us to streamline the Library workflows, simplify reading list creation for academics and make a real positive impact on the student experience and we are delighted to have found that in Talis” said Naomi Elliott, Head of Learning Resources at Ravensbourne University.
Naomi added, “We look forward to working with Talis to take the first steps into the world of online reading lists, and introducing our academic and student community to how Talis simplifies finding and accessing quality resources, making use of features like the bookmarking tool to help academics create and update their own lists, and seeing benefits including improved workflows for purchasing new resources and reporting on their usage.”
David Errington, CEO of Talis said “We are pleased to announce that Ravensbourne University are joining the Talis Aspire community.
