The University of Oxford is 100th customer for Talis

The University of Oxford, ranked number one in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018, have selected Talis Aspire to manage and deliver its online reading lists service and copyright management system. They join Talis as the 100th customer worldwide.

Amy Warner May, Associate Director of Scholarly Resources for the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford, said: “We are very much looking forward to working in partnership with Talis, a market leader in reading list and digital content management systems, to help the Bodleian Libraries, the UK’s largest academic library service, continue to provide a world-class library service.”  

David Errington, CEO of Talis, said: “We are thrilled that the University of Oxford will be joining the Talis Aspire community. It’s fantastic to reach 100 customers over the past 8 years of developing Talis Aspire, supporting teaching and learning in so many institutions across the world. We have already worked closely with the team at The University of Oxford and we look forward to developing this partnership as they continue their journey with Talis Aspire.”

The University of Oxford also aims to improve student experience with a more digital approach, particularly with improved access to resources. They plan to integrate reading lists with their Virtual Learning Environment Canvas through the Talis Aspire Learning Tools Interoperability tool. This will support them in delivering an improved learning and teaching experience for students and academics. The Bodleian Libraries plan to streamline their workflows with improved digitisation and acquisition management with Talis Aspire. Talis Aspire will be integrated with the University of Oxford’s Library Management System Ex Libris Aleph and Discovery Tool, Primo.
