Be LTI-Ready for September 2018

Talis Aspire’s Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) tool allows deep embedding of lists and list sections in the learning management system. 50% of our customers are currently either live or testing this new integration, and it works with all the major Learning systems.

See the introductory videos and find out how to get LTI setup in your learning system.

Moodle 3.5

Moodle 3.5 is now in a stable release and consequently you may be considering upgrading your existing moodle to this version.  We have tested our custom Moodle LTI plugin against this version and verified that it behaves as expected. We would always advise testing any changes like this in a test environment to verify that it does what you are expecting.  If you have any queries regarding your LTI configuration, please raise a support ticket.

Planning authentication changes with Eduserv?

Talis are currently working closely with Eduserv as a number of customers work to transition Identity Provider services over the coming months.

To maintain continuation of service for your users and minimise risk, please contact Talis if you have any work planned around your authentication systems, or if you are simply unsure whether a change may have an impact, please raise a support ticket.

Any other system changes?

At this time of year there are often many new systems and workflows you are planning to implement at your university.  Might any of these affect your Talis Aspire systems? Examples may include changes to catalogues, discovery systems, IDPs, or link resolvers.  Or maybe new organisation of module codes or time periods which may need reflecting in your Talis Aspire data. If you are aware of any such changes or would simply like to check with us if a change you are making may affect your Talis Aspire tenancy, please raise a support ticket.
