“From History to Performance”: Academic Laura Ritchie and students show how reading lists are used in their modules and performs live at Talis Insight Europe 2018

Laura Ritchie, Professor of Learning and Teaching at the University of Chichester delivered a session on reading lists from an academic and a student perspective on Day Two of Talis Insight Europe 2018.

Having been an advocate of Talis Aspire since it was implemented at the University of Chichester, Laura has used reading lists as an important element of her teaching, recognising them as a tool to enable students to learn more about the course and the wider subject area.

In the session, she discusses how the reading lists are used, what she includes in them and the impact this has had on her courses. Laura was joined by her MA students, Luke Hawkins and Dave Morgan who each explained why they think the reading lists are so useful, sharing anecdotes about specific examples where the lists have helped their studies.
