Surveying academics on using Talis Aspire

Natalie Naik
Academic perspective

The University of Worcester implemented a university policy that all lists should be maintained and created within their Resource Lists environment, leaving paper copies behind. They decided to run a survey after seeing that nearly 50% of lists were still in draft at the beginning of this semester to find out what the academics thought about Talis Aspire Reading Lists and Talis Aspire Digitised Content. They hoped that this would help them understand what the barriers may be and why academics weren’t engaging with the lists.

You can see results from one of the questions below.

We were interested in hearing the feedback from the survey, the reasons for running it, how it was carried out and how they are going to use that feedback moving forwards.

Laura Unwin held a webinar to hear from Sarah Pittaway, Team Leader: Academic Services to find out what they learnt, you can watch it below.

Have you ever run a survey with academics at your institution? What was the general feedback? Any key areas you focussed on due to this feedback?
