Podcast: Measuring the impact of online reading lists and copyright-cleared content services with Judith Keene, University of Worcester

case study librarians perspective

Last week I had the opportunity to speak to Judith Keene, Library Director at the University of Worcester.

As the start of the new term approaches, our mind often turns towards the impact of the services we offer and how we measure it. I have been hearing for a while from our services team that the University of Worcester have been proactively thinking about their rollout and how they are measuring the impact of what they are doing.

I reached out to Judith, who kindly agreed to speak to me as part of a podcast. You can hear the full podcast below.

I would like to thank Judith for her time and insights into this topic.

In conclusion, Judith commented, “The success of the project to date has been the result of much hard work from the reading resources team ably led by Sarah Pittaway, and the time and commitment given by our Academic Liaison librarians. We’ve also appreciated support from colleagues in ICT.”.

We have also recently kicked off a project working closely with the Talis Aspire User Group to investigate empirical evidence for the impact of online reading lists services. We will be publishing updates on this over the coming months, so watch this space.

How are you measuring impact of your online reading lists and digitised content services at your institutions? Are you seeing some of the trends and effects Judith has described in her conversation? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
