Our Reading List of the Week is The Hospitality and Tourism Consumer from University College Birmingham.
This list is UCB’s top performing list during the period of May-June 2016. This is an example of one of many great lists produced by the library at UCB, who have ensured consistency and quality in their lists across many departments.
This list is unlike a module specific list as it showcases the Module Delivery Scheme structure that UCB follow with all their reading lists.
Rather than providing a list of items that are recommended for reading, this list contains items that are essential for reading for the lecture, with follow-up reading lists for particular topics or assessments. We know that students find it useful to have all the information they need in one place, so a reading list is a great way of providing important module information.
The list contains details on the lecturers and how to contact them, as well as the module overview with information on ‘Learning Outcomes ‘ and ‘Teaching and Learning Methods’.
This is followed by the ‘Lecture Programme’ which gives information by week on key topics, and essential reading to do before the lecture.
This list was created around a year ago and has had 648 page views.
