Talis and CLA announce collaboration agreement

Talis and CLA have agreed to work together to connect their respective products for the mutual benefit of HEI customers in the UK. This includes working together to develop an API that will connect Talis Aspire Reading Lists to the CLA’s Digital Content Store and exploring how Talis Aspire Digitised Content users can benefit from the evolution of reporting requirements in the new Higher Education Licence currently under negotiation with UUK and Guild HE. A further announcement will be made in June.

Talis is the UK market leader for Reading List solutions with over 70 HEI customers. The systems currently hosts over 500,000 lists, and is used by millions of students to support their course reading.

CLA simplifies copyright for content users and provides licensing solutions to over 350 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) being developed by CLA together with HEIs, publishers and technology partners. The DCS will launch in June 2016. It will support HEIs in fully utilising their CLA Licence whilst significantly reducing administration associated with the licence.
