Talis Insight Asia-Pacific 2016 Speaker Series: Melanie Johnson, libraries and the CLL licence

Melanie Johnson, Copyright Officer for the University of Auckland will be joining us at Talis Insight Asia-Pacific 2016 to discuss the CLL license. She will be presenting alongside Vanessa Tuckfield who will be discussing Copyright and Compliance.

Melanie is a practising lawyer and works full time in the University library focussing solely on Copyright. She is a member of the Universities New Zealand Negotiating Team which negotiates licences on behalf of all 8 New Zealand universities. As a member of that Team, she assisted in the Court action and subsequent settlement negotiations following a breakdown in negotiations for a new licence with Copyright Licensing New Zealand.
