Happy New Year! As we begin 2019, we reflect on what we achieved in 2018. Talis work year round to make continual changes to the product, whether that’s a new version of an area of the system or small incremental changes to features in order to improve your experience. In the post, you’ll see all the changes we’ve made:

  • This year we rolled out the latest version of Talis Aspire List View after a beta period having worked with partner universities. This view was developed with the latest User Experience principles to ensure the best experience, whilst improving accessibility and performance of your online reading lists. The student view no longer shows the Beta tag.

  • Due to feedback, we have improved the holdings link to library discovery service when holdings cannot be loaded.
  • It is now possible to edit Hierarchy and Student numbers in your online reading lists. Find out how.
  • Your ‘Review request’ and ‘Review history’ is now viewable and easily available via a menu in your reading list.

We have improved performance

  • Viewing long lists is now faster, with a shorter loading time and better experience with Talis Aspire New List View.

We added ‘Bulk Actions’ in Talis Aspire Reading Lists (TARL)

  • This allowed users to switch to the New List View by using the ‘All Lists’ report, or allowed rollout with a subset of lists. This allowed for a smoother change over process.  Find out more here.
